My special day w/ my mushala!
I love being a mom. ( Yes, even when they drive me a bit batty) Being a mom of 3 consumes my entire life, from morning till my head hits the pillow Im on the move trying to get whatever needs to get done for all 3 of my loved ones. I often at night think about the day/week/months events. Did I do that right? What could I of done better? The questions never end! However, the 1 thing I try ( and I say try because it's very hard since my husband works 16-18 hour days 6 days a week) is make a little bit of special time for each child. I love all of them equally obviously but I need to remember that while I have 3 kids they only have 1 mom. Their need for quality alone time with them is HUGE! So this past weekend my mushala and I went to Epcot. I must say I dont give that place enough credit. I always think it's just for adults n never bring the kids there. Well I was wrong. We had a blast. We went on so many rides I didnt even know they had. ( Soarin is the 2nd best ride I have ever been on in my life! LITERALLY! This is behind Evervest which just rocks in a totally different way) Then we went to all the countries and they had little kidcot spots where she got a mask with stamps n little cut outs to symbolize each one. We talked about the cultures and just enjoyed our special time together. It made me remember that I really do need to try harder to make days like this happen. The joy Crystal had just to have her mommy all to herself was precious and it also reminded how different it is when you only have 1 child. The dynamics of an outing are so different. There are no kids arguing, or 3 kids running off in all 3 directions. No fighting over our attention. It was really such a nice , calm day. This of course does not take away from my time with all 3 of them as a whole, that time is just as important and precious because while they may fight they also hug, while they cry they also laugh, and while they may want my attention at times, others they find comfort in each other and bond! So in the end I vow to myself to work harder on finding that balance more and to make some new great memories with each of my kids and all of them together =)

Lost over Lost!
So this will officially be my last blog about tv until the new season begins in about Sept/Oct ( unless the Glee finale knocks my socks off and I just have to blog about it) I am excited, I have become so insanely engrossed with the shows this season that I have a ton of books I have been neglecting. So hile I love my shows and am already eagerly anticipating their return, I am glad to say I will have a little more down time to turn to my other love- books.
However that is not what this post is about. This post is to try and write down my thoughts about LOST. A show that wont be returning ( unless the franchise gets greedy and starts a spin-off which I could totally see happening) I like many others anticipated this event on the edge of my seat. I sat down for 5 hours eagerly awaiting SO many answers. Then at 11:30 I realized that 90 percent of my questions were not answered and the show ended. I like many viewers were confused, outraged, and felt cheated.( and I only started watching this show a few months ago out of boredom and curiosity, some people devoted 6 years to this show). Now I will admit I had a few too many malibu's but I was more lost then ever. After my ranting and raving on fb, twitter, and everywhere pretty much I went to bed. The next day I read blogs, reviews, and rewatched the finale. I must say rewatching it knowing the outcome made it MUCH more clear to me. So in this post I will blog my own personal interpretation of what actually happened on lost ( because thats all we really have to go on, there was no definitive answers.
MY finale synopsis- The island was real life, the plane did crash and they did survive. All the insaneness actually happened. The flashsideways was purgatory( a place that was created by the castaways (possibly when the a bomb went off) so they could all return to each other before they "moved on". At some point each of them died some on the island, some off, and some long after. However, the most important part of their lives was on the island and how they actual "found" themselves and were no longer "lost" Once they all "found" each other again in purgatory they could all move on together the way they wanted too. The ones that did not move on were not "ready to let go" so they will move on later or some have probably moved on already.
Looking at it that way now I was VERY happy to see that all my beloved characters had their happy endings and I was VERY glad to know the island was real and not some cookoo dream or hell.
Here are my favorite parts/points about the ending- my number 1 is of course the Charlie/Claire/Aaron reunion. I cried like a baby, although I must say seeing my beloved Ian Somerhalder(Boone) and the Shannon/Sayid reunion made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside as well. I was surprised to realize how touched I was by Jack and Kates scence's because I was a total Sawyer and Kate fan I think until this very episode and I was relieved that they ended "up" together. Other things I really enjoyed was the humor and all of the realizations actually =)
I am now somewhat satisified with the ending on a CHARACTER only ending. It ended lovely for all of the characters ( except the ones left behind) which I thought was a bit sad) especially poor Ana Lucia.
However there are two sides to every story and rewatching and evaluating the situation I still feel cheated. The very premise of this show in my opinion was not who are these people but why them and where are they? This was FIRMLY established by the ending scence in the shows pilot ( close up of Charlies face " guys where are we") If we werent suppose to care about the island why was it the main focus of the show?I find it VERY hard to believe that the island was just a big ole red herring to throw us off for 6 years. So in the sense of just the island, its mysteries and all of the mythology I feel very cheated.
What I didnt like about the ending- It explained nothing about the island. Now I do want to defend Darlton for a second and agree that there was no way to answer everything ( kind of like the Harry Potter series) every line was soooooooooooooooooo overanalyzed that it just went a bit overboard.
With that being said I think they OWED it to us viewers and yes I said OWED because Im so sick of these writers thinking they owe us nothing when they owe us EVERYTHING. If we didnt like the shows they would have nothing....so yes I believe in my heart of hearts that they in the very least should of told us wtf the island is!! Sorry but I feel VERY strongly about this....
Other answers I wanted-
- What was Walts connection to the island
-Why could Hurley see dead people/Miles hear them?
-Who actually were the others n why didnt smokey kill them?
-How did the island get there? who protected the island b4 the crazy mom?
-What was the light suppose to be on the island?
-what was the box Claires dad left her?
- what was the signifigance of Jack having a son in the flash sideways?
- Why could babies not be concieved and born on the island?
- why could Locke not need his wheelchair on the island?
- soooooooooooooooooooooooo many more things that I thought were owed to us and werent told.
So in a manner of looking at the LOST finale just on the mysteries that they promised this season would be solved " the season of answers" It sucked, I feel cheated and hate the fact that I started watching
With all this being said I think the finale was good or bad depending on what you personally wanted. I was selfish and wanted both, an explanation of the island and a happy conclusion for the characters. So in the end Im moving on half-satisfied and half dissappointed but I will " move on and let go"...I am just hoping that as I stated above this wasnt a way to spin off the show .... I could totally see a spin off of the Hurley/Ben years where we would finally " get all the answers" but who knows...All I can say is overall I am glad I watched it, am glad I experienced the most complex show ever on tv , and am glad I got the happy ending at least for the characters I most cared about =)

My ode to the May sweeps finales...
We all know Im a tv junkie. I enjoy mindless tv to pass the time and Im not ashamed of it one little bit. I love getting sucked in and obsessing over them! So if you havent watched the finales ( this may contain spoilers) or you hate tv you may skip this post..I will totally not get offeneded. This is just a mindless post today about the tv shows I love to love =)
So my first finale of the season was the Vampire Diaries. Which I totally love. Definatley my favorite show on tv right now. I love that it has some elements of the books but totally goes on its own in storylines. This isnt a one time movie that I want to stay true to the book. This is a tv drama that I hope goes on for years to come! So I love to be surprised. Well surprised me it did. When Damon and Elena kissed I just about passed out! When I find out later it was actually Catherine and she chops off Johns hand and killed him I think I actually did faint for a second! The whole season, finale included was SO well made and I cant wait to see what they have in store for us next season! I mean Im sure it will be amazing..anything Ian Somerhalder touches achieves greatness( Damon in VD or also known as Boone from lost)
My other 2 finales were not as grand or satisfying as I had hoped and not even close to as brillant as VD.
Gossip girl- Yes the trashy show I got into around the holidays in my madness with all the winter hiatus crap! However I love it! Although, I did NOT love the finale. Here are my issues. I am totally in love with Chuck Bass ( such a Bian Kinney-esque character) which of course is my FAVORITE character of ALL time! So, I was inclined to fall in love with Chuck and Blair...They finally got together after 2 whole seasons to barely be together for half a season. I dont like this. I understand we need drama to keep it exciting but I also believe in making viewers happy and giving us at least a little bit of what we desire. ( We are the ones that keep the show alive even though writers/actors/producers seem to have forgotten this lately) The fact that he was gonna propose and Blair didnt even know it REALLY annoyed me..I MEAN COME ON!! Plus, Chuck n Jenny? REALLY!!! Totally not neccesarry! Nate finally got wise ..THANK GOD! and at least he had a fun little ending..n I was jumping up n down for Joy that Dan was gonna run after Serena ( cause I love them too) n then Georgina ends up pg! What the hell????To top it all off they shoot my man Chuck at the end....so I know he survives does this mean he is gonna have amnesia now? or is it gonna end up that he chased Blair all season n next season she will chase him..again! Too much drama..even for me!
However I was even more unfulfilled with the 90210 finale. Annie ran over and killed that poor man over a year ago n Im still not sure if she comes clean? The whole Naomi/Annie/Liam storyline AGAIN!! BLAH!!! I hate Annie! Plus I knew all season Mr Cannon was a creepy guy but really? What is Naomi gonna do now that he did that to her? The only happy ending was Teddy n Silver n seriously they are about exciting as watching paint dry....so Im hoping the season premiere ends up knocking my socks off because on both shows I was left feeling very unhappy n underwhelmed!
I will be saying goodbye to Idol this year..Simon is leaving and really..what wil the show be without him??? Plus this season has been so boring I honestly have barely watched it..I think a good thing has DEFINATELY come to an end!
10 things I hate about u- Mindless teenybopper show I watch that is getting the boot. Im a bit sad about it..but not heartbroken, I really only watch it because it gives me fond memories of the movie with the late n great Heath Ledger. But, I do wish it wasn't being cancelled!
Last but certainly not least Lost...The show I only started watching 3 months ago because I found out my love Ian somerhalder was on season 1. I had no intention to watch after his death but I was captivated by it!! I must say if you dont watch it..park your butt down and hulu the last 6 years so u can watch the FINALE OF THE CENTURY on Sunday !!!!!!!!!!! I CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry if this post bored you but I wanted to throw my thoughts out there in case any of you do watch and feel the same way or other way! Happy sweeps watching every1 =)

Big Boys Birthday
It actually happened. My baby boy is now a big boy! A big boy of 2 years old! I can hardly believe it ( but when can I ever). He had such a great birthday. On his actual birthday we just did a small family thing and had some cupcakes with green and blue frosting that I made. These are his fave colors, or so I think they are/ forcing them to be? maybe? Anyway he was excited.
On his birthday party day we had friends and fam over to celebrate. We had a "two two" train party. This was the cutest party set I might have ever had! The kids had a blast with all the trains and pinatas n goodies! It is amazing to see him running around with the big kids now and it looks like he actually belongs( b4 when he was smaller it looked so funny and out of place but adorable of course) My lil man is now a big boy and such a good boy he is turning out to be. I feel so blessed to have my boy who I waited so long for =)
His 2 year visit - 27lbs, 35 inches
new findings-
-no more bottle (just sippy cups)
-He is saying more words(not nearly enough) but a definite improvement. words such as : Hi, Bye, Door, Open, Hot, Out, No more..etc
-HIs fave things- Trains, Dinosaurs, Max and Ruby cartoon
Favorite stories- You Can Do It Dilly Duck, Any of the dinosaur books by Jane Yolen, and Max and Ruby books

Disney trip
I know..I know. Im a good month behind on my blog but I want to blog about all the fun stuff I have had going on..it is just going to take a bit of time since Ive been so busy..so please bare with me =).
We decided to go to Disney last month for a 4 day 3 night mini vacation. It was really fun because we usually only go for a day or just the weekend so those extra two days were really nice. Nando stayed home w/ the flu but somehow still managed to paint the rooms( which was the whole point of our trip away) he totally rocks =)!!
We stayed off Disney which is more of a new experience for us. All of the Disney rooms were booked up for the value and moderate hotels ( we usually stay at the moderates, French Quarter is my FAVE) and the only rooms left were the villas and expensive hotels which werent in the budget so we stayed at a downtown Disney hotel ( The Radisson) I was a bit nervous because I never stayed at one b4 but it was AMAZING. They just built it in 2009 so it was brand new and shiny =). Rooms were spacious with fridge, microwave, 2 queen beds, couch, the works so I was thrilled! ( Especially since we got the deal of the century with the price)
Anyway, on Thursday we arrived and check in and just kinda hung around the hotel and went for dinner. Friday we did Magic Kingdom, Saturday we did Hollywood Studios, and Sunday we did Animal Kingdom. We had such a great time as always. It was slightly busier then expected but we got to do alot of rides and shows that we don't normally do so it was really nice! I love being a Florida resident with all the good deals because they have a promotion for a 4 day pass for only 99.00. you cant beat that. So we have 1 day left and will be hitting up Epcot for a one day trip ( just me and the girls) this weekend. It should be great.
