TRIP TO NY

April has been sooo busy I have very little time on my hands but I did want to blog a bit about my trip to NY. We actually had a very easy trip there and back considering we drove straight for 22 hours going and 18 hours coming back with 3 kids in the car. Any luck I had building up was def used on that trip! Besides the car ride itself it was great to be home. Yes- I still call it home. As much as I love living in Florida and would never move back, NY will always hold a special place in my heart. Sometimes it makes me sad that my children will not have that same attachment to NY that I do but I know this move was the best for them. There is just something so special about NY , the way it looks, smells, makes you feel! The way you can do anything or get anything at any time! I missed the places, the food, the convience of it all. Mostly I missed the people. As my family is growing I find it harder for me to be apart from them. I now have 1 niece and 2 nephews with another on the way in NY. Cousins, friends, family..it is rough to know they are all growing up and Im missing it. So it was so good to be back. My nephew Niko was baptized and the party was GREAT. I got to spend a bunch of time with my bff and godson and my goddaughter. I cant wait for my trip in the summer where lil Lincoln will be born!!!! I will post some pics of all the fun things we got to do on our trip...

Eater fun

We had a great Easter week at the Bonich house. We got to go to the aquarium, paint easter eggs, bake goodies, have a very generous visit from the Easter bunny and had tons of family and friends over so I could cook enough for an army and be excited! The holidays always remind me of how blessed I am and how much I really love my life!
Besides that it is going to be a very busy April. this Friday we are off to NY for about 9 days and when we return we are prepping to paint the house for the big room switcheroo. Nando will be here painting while yia-ya, the kids, n I go and play at Disney for a 4 day weekend... YAY =)
Then it will be my lil mans 2nd bday, ninas cheerleading competition, Giovanni's nona coming to visit and the highly anticipated two-two train bday party!!! WHEW!!
Busy but happy =)
I hope you are all enjoying the coming of Spring as well as we can all finally creep out from our caves and enjoy the outdoors again..woohoo!

And the winner is......

The Dino's have it!!!!! My poll is officially closed and the dinosaurs won by a landslide vote. Lucky for me Kohls had an ADORABLE big boy dino set!!! I absolutely LOVE it which I am hoping will make the transition easier for me since Im having a very hard time with the thought that in about a month I will no longer/never again have a nursery in my home. I will definatley post pics once this is all set up but first....I must decide on a paint color ( since Ninas room is bubblegum pink) so I will have a new poll up so please help me decide!! =)

Growing up is hard to do..or is it? Part 2

This past week my lil nina beana turned 8..yes 8! I might have to say it a 3rd time because I still can't quite believe it...8! Ok, now that is out of my system but the shock is not. We all have children knowing that they will inevitably grow up but knowing something is going to happen and it actually happening I believe are 2 different things. Her being my oldest makes her birthday's the hardest for me, especially since she is 8 but acts 18. My lil baby who used to be obsessed with cheerios and Cinderella is now a pop listening Cyndi lauper look alike..lol! Children's Place is no longer " cool" so we need to shop at Justice. She wants to shop for her own clothes, listen to the music she wants to, and do what she wants. While most of her choices are reasonable for her age ( listening to Hannah, watching Disney Channel, and dressing very funky but not inappropriately) I still have a hard time with it. The worst thing Im learning is that they only get older, they never get younger again. Nina's baby years are over, and her little girl years are quickly slipping through my fingers. Im not ready! I know that I can be very tough and strict with her sometimes but the truth is that she feels like more of my baby now then ever. I don't want her to grow up and I try to cling to that even though I know she can't help getting bigger. So here it goes to another year of ups and downs, twists and turns..and my baby becoming a young lady!

Teaching

When I was a little girl I told my mom I was going to be a teacher. Im sure that so many did back then. I even went to a high school specializing in teaching training. It was really like a "calling" for me. I always knew that is what I was meant to be. So that's exactly what I became. I had the pleasure of student teaching for numerous years thanks to my hs and college and taught for about 4 years. I loved it! I didnt love all the politics surrounding it but I do love to teach. However, when I was also a little girl I also said to my mom that I wanted to be a mommy to lots of children. As you all know I did this as well. Nando and I made the choice for me to be a stay at home mom. I feel blessed really because so many that I know don't have that as an option. I love spending time with my babies and this is time spent with them that I know I'll never get back. Sometimes though I still yearn for the classroom. I miss teaching. I feel like Im suppose to be out there making a difference and I feel torn. I know this sounds silly to some. I mean who wouldnt want to not work? But, Every now and then I really feel it. Im definatley in that mind frame now. I wish I was in the classroom but I would never leave my babies until they were school aged! So I think I truly have 2 callings in life and feel really blessed for that. This is probably also fresh in my mind since I have been fighting with my student loan company over rates for a while now. ( Student loans I am not so blessed to have but in life you gotta take the good with the bad) Finally yesterday it was fixed and rates will be lowered as of May. I am thrilled!!

TV SHOW HIATUS PART 2

The wait is finally over!! All but two of my shows are finally back on this week! WOOHOOO!! Just wanted to share my excitement =)

Wow! I ve been gone a long time again... I need to get this blogging thing down already.lol! Well, not much new is going on here except that we have decided we are going to be switching Nina's and John's room next month when my baby turns 2 and he will officially have a "big boy" room. Im just gonna come out and say it- Im not ready. Im not ready to have 3 kids and NONE of them be a "baby" or sleep in a nursery. I know this sounds silly but knowing that this part of my life is over is really sad for me. I wanted a baby for so long and now I have gotten to experience 3 amazing babies who are now toddlers, little kids, and on the cusp of being 8 going on 18 =p So as sad as it makes me to let go, I will have too.
So the next order of business is to decide on what Johns new room theme will be. I am between Thomas the train or Dinosaurs..SO PLEASE post your vote =)
